Magnetic Bordeaux, a shared initiative

Magnetic Bordeaux is the fruit of a collective approach which permeates Bordeaux’s boundless fields of sustainable and balanced appeal. It aims to bring people together, united around shared values and actions that can reveal the area’s DNA.

Initiated by Bordeaux Métropole and the CCI Bordeaux-Gironde, the Magnetic Bordeaux adventure began in 2016. Bringing together public and corporate players and companies from the city that want to actively contribute to building its appeal and influence, the shared initiative is based on complementarity and cross-over between economic actors, entrepreneurs, and emblematic institutions from the area. The founding members are:

Strategic initiative. Under an umbrella that unifies the city, Magnetic Bordeaux brings together all the players from the area’s wide-ranging dimensions of attraction (industrial and service economy, tourism and business travel, education, research, innovation, culture, talents …) with a common objective: to reveal and develop the ecosystem’s vitality and work together to build the appeal of Bordeaux and its wider area.

Value based branding. In becoming a part of Magnetic Bordeaux, you’ll join a community with shared values, sense of identity, and belonging to the area. We’ll work together to promote and shine a light on our city, and to improve the quality of life for Bordeaux’s inhabitants. For businesses and events, the Magnetic Bordeaux endorsement offers increased visibility for better brand awareness, and welcomes you into the best of Bordeaux.

Territorial co-operation with an inclusive appeal

Built on a foundation of co-operation, with agreements between Bordeaux Métropole, the city of Angoulême, and the Communauté d’Agglomération du Libournais, the Magnetic Bordeaux shared initiative is a wholly distinct and unique umbrella brand working to enhance the identity of all of the partner areas through common promotional activities.

This unprecedented initiative has made it possible to bring together this group of neighbouring territories into a dynamic centre of attraction under the Magnetic Bordeaux brand, and promote a balanced equilibrium between the areas.
